The Durham County Business Services Office (BSO) provides business information services, programs and resources. The goal is to promote workforce development and cultivate a throwing business community of learners under the leadership of Ciera Williams, Business Services Manager.
The BSO did a series in December 2022 where they invited the public to explore the A in S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). They highlighted the variety of career paths that children and adults could follow over a course of 9 days. They included opportunities such as cartoonists, industrial designers, architects, and art therapists to name a few. Art therapists specifically stuck out to me because my daughter, Haelee is heavy into it. She didn’t share it in any of her current books but she may in something upcoming.
