Vision Boarding With Durham County Library

I spent the last day of school, June 9, 2022 hosting a vision board party at Durham County Main Library. The party was centered around my debut book, The Rules of a Big Boss. I taught everyone how to set a vision and map it out using magazines, glue, scissors, stickers, glitter, and a bunch of other stuff.

I had so much fun with everyone especially Ms. Ciera Williams. She’s the Teen Services Librarian and she’s really cool. You can read more about her here. I told her that I didn’t want my dad to attend because he’d probably kill my vibe by interrupting and not letting me do my thing. Ms. Ciera made sure to point him back towards the door and to escort him out every time that he tried to come in. But not only that, she paid me for my work. Like do you know how cool it was to hold the check in my hand? Please ignore that it’s made out to my dad because it was for me and he gave it to me.

Also Durham County Library invited me to their teen lock in on June 24, 2022. We had pizza, video games, books, movies, and prizes. And also they’re kind enough to carry me and my dads books. You can see them by going here. Thank you so much Ms. Ciera and Durham County Libraries for always being so kind to me and my dad.

If you’re a Durham resident, you should definitely stop by any one of their locations and get a library card because they’re much more than a place where you can check out books. It’s a place where entire families can go to get whatever they need. You can find out how to get a library card by going here.
