Haelee P. Moone
Haelee P. Moone is an award-winning author, speaker, and changemaker with a passion for uplifting others. A Presidential Scholar and rising freshman at Shaw University, she’s majoring in Political Science and Mass Communications while leading The Rules of a Big Boss LLC, a company she founded alongside her dad, Dedrick to inspire confidence, healing, and self-love.

Her debut book, The Rules of a Big Boss: A Book of Self-Love, earned a Gold Award from Literary Titan and sparked a movement of empowerment among readers worldwide when she was 12 years old. She has since co-authored The Unexpected Journey: Fire and Gold with her dad and written The Rules of a Little Boss and Everyday Heroes: Real People, True Heroesboth award-winning titles that celebrate resilience, kindness, and courage.
Through her writing, media appearances, and community work, Haelee continues to prove that self-love is the first step to changing the world.
Dedrick L. Moone
Dedrick L. Moone is an award-winning author, speaker, and advocate for positive change. He is a devoted husband to Vanessa and a proud father to his daughter, Haelee, who inspires his work and life’s mission.

Dedrick uses his talents as an author, humanitarian, publishing consultant, and product owner to empower others and strengthen communities. His debut, The Unexpected Journey: Fire and Gold, co-written with Haelee, is a heartfelt memoir about resilience, fatherhood, and faith. He followed that with Dear Daughter: A Love Story, Joy Comes: A Story of Fatherhood, and The Christmas Lesson: Unwrapping Love and Family, each celebrating love, perseverance, and the importance of family.
His work has been featured on WCNC, Spectrum 1, ABC 11, and WRAL, and he continues to share his message through podcasts, events, and community initiatives.
