The Black Business Connector (TBBC) is all about celebrating black business owners and everything they do for our community. You can read more about them by going here.
They’re also about encouraging others to get caught reading—be it an article, book, or magazine. If you’re reading this post, you’re already on your way!
TBBC takes their commitment to the next level with an annual author series. They invite a different black children’s book author to kick off each week in the month of May with a bedtime story.
I’m kicking it off with a reading of The Rules of a Little Boss this evening at 7:00 PM EST. My hope is that it encourages young readers to stay true to and love themselves. Mark your calendars and I hope that you will be able to join me and some of the other amazing authors like Tai Abrams, Aliya Yancey, and Kim C Lee over these next few exciting weeks. Oh yeah and I’m working on converting it into a coloring and activity book thanks to help from Kim C. Lee and my dad, Dedrick K. Moone so stay tuned for more information on that.
