I partnered with Words for the Soul Book Club in April to raise money for underprivileged kids.
Our goal was to raise $1,000. The money was to be used to purchase copies of I Love Myself Coloring and Activity Book, The Science Behind It, and The Rules of a Big Boss.
We’ve only raised $573 to date and the program ends on June 19, 2021. We’re going to fall short of our goal unless something significant changes between then and now. I’m disappointed because we won’t be able to help as many people as we’d have liked but we’ll still be able to help some so it’s a win.
I’ll also add that it’s reasons like this that I take the time to apply for small business grants. I do so because I want to provide charity for my community and beyond. If I win one of them, I will fund efforts like this myself.
