Proud Dad Moments

I've made mistakes in my life. I've faltered as a son, friend, sibling, and even as a husband. But if there's one thing I can confidently say I've done right, it's being a parent. My daughter, Haelee reminds me of that every single day, but yesterday on Father's Day, she went above and beyond to make me feel special.

She set aside time just for the two of us and treated me to a delightful brunch (yes, she even drove us there!). We laughed, shared stories, and caught up on all sorts of things. Then, she carefully placed the beautiful gift she and my wife got me in my mancave, where I can always see it.

Next, she surprised me with tickets to the highly anticipated Flash Movie (I paid for the snacks, though!). We enjoyed the film together, and afterwards, we returned home to a delicious home-cooked meal she had prepared. It was a heartwarming dinner shared between us.

But what really touched me, and brought tears to my eyes, was a particular scene in the movie. It portrayed a profound expression of love between a parent and child, which resonated deeply with the two of us. That scene perfectly encapsulated what my entire day was all about, love and appreciation.

I hope that every father and child out there felt the same overwhelming love and warmth on Father's Day. It's not just about the affection from our children, but also the love we receive from those around us. Let's cherish these beautiful moments and continue to celebrate the incredible bond between parents and children not only on special occasions but daily.
