My Failure as a Parent

I've always been a fan of learning new things  Because of that I’m constantly on the lookout for ways to improve myself whether that be through asking for feedback or simply taking personal evaluations of myself. The 5 Love Languages are something I learned about a some years ago.

If you haven't heard of them, they're essentially a set of communication styles that help people understand how others feel loved. What’s most important to remember is that the 5 Love Languages aren't just for romantic and intimate relationships. They're for any relationship that's important in your life—whether it's your partner or your child or your friend. You literally don't have to be married or even dating someone to use them! You can read more about them by going here.

I shared how I used them to become a better father to my daughter, Haelee at West Charlotte Recreation Centers (WCRC) Magical Moments Father Daughter Dance. Please ignore the background noise because we'd reached the end of the program so it was time to clean up!

Moving along, it was so nice to spend a wholesome time with not only Haelee, but all of the fathers and their daughters. We danced, took photos, laughed, watched a magic show, ate dinner together, etc. It truly was a magical night to remember for me as a dad. All of the dads and myself, have Charles Young, Facility Manager, WCRC to thank for it.
