A Grand Close to the School Year

Yesterday was huge because I got to see my daughter complete middle school. But not only that, she won a character award for open mindedness. I also got to meet the boy that she likes. He’s not pictured however.

She and I closed out the day and kicked off her summer break with her hosting a vision board party for teens at Durham County Main Library. I asked if she needed help delivering it but she assured me that she could handle it. As a matter of fact, I got kicked out and told to go get my life. I resultantly went upstairs and found a couple of books to read in each section (children’s, young adult, adult fiction, and adult non-fiction).

And what‘s even cooler is that Durham County Main Library is that Durham County Library has largely returned back to normal activities. On that note, they’ll be relaunching their Teen Lock-in on June 24, 2022. You can read more about it by going here. As for Haelee she’s already registered so perhaps she’ll see you there.

Off to high school we go now. I suppose I’ll start teaching her how to drive now. Oh and thank you so much Ciera Williams for putting the icing on the cake of a fabulous day and for all that you do.
