The Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA) is supporting this by way of a READ-A-THON. A select group of authors to include my daughter Haelee and myself will be reading excerpts from our books on November 30, 2021 from 1 - 9 PM EST. I’ll be specifically reading from my upcoming children’s book, Dear Daughter: A Love Story. Haelee is undecided about which book she’ll read from at the moment.
Moving along, BCALA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting black information professionals throughout the world. Haelee and I are proud author members through the sponsorship of Richard E. Ashby Jr, Mr. Ashby is the Director of the Sto-Rox Public Library, Co-Founder and Director of LiteracyNation, Vice President of the Pennsylvania Black Librarians Caucus and former President of the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA).
